Aaron Hall is an American R&B singer-songwriter, record producer and actor. He was born on August 10, 1964, in The Bronx, New York. Hall rose to fame in the late 1980s as one-third of the R&B trio Guy, which he formed with Timmy Gatling and Teddy Riley. The group is credited with helping to create the New Jack Swing genre of music, which blended R&B, hip hop and dance-pop into a new sound that dominated the charts in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
After leaving Guy in the early 1990s, Hall launched a successful solo career. His debut album, "The Truth," was released in 1993 and included the hit singles "Don't Be Afraid" and "I Miss You." He went on to release several more albums in the 1990s, including "Inside of You" (1998) and "Adults Only" (2000).
Hall also enjoyed success as a songwriter and producer, working with artists like Johnny Gill, Toni Braxton and Usher. He has also acted in several films and TV shows, including "Soul Food," "Paid in Full" and "The Breaks."
Today, Aaron Hall is considered a pioneer of the 1990s R&B scene and continues to perform and record music.
